This pump is a true game changer. I read the reviews and was excited to get mine, and it still exceeded expectation. I recently tweaked my lower back, and was dreading having to lift my 5 gallon gas can to refill our riding mower; I knew there had to be a better way. This Tera pump is no games; it pumps very quickly, has nice built-in sensor to prevent overflow. I recommend this pump to everyone.

So the pump i got leaked not where the actual hose comes out from the plastic, but where the plastic hose surround meets the main plastic pump section. so i had some plumber's putty (i use when installing new drain hardware into sinks) that i roll out play-doh style into a long cyclinder which i wrapped and mildly squished on the seam between the two plastic sections. no more leaking. besides the leak, i liked pretty much everything about this pump. i set my 5 gallon container on a barstool next to my vehicle, and let the pump do it's thing until i hear the pump motor revving because the container is empty or i hear the little beeping that my tank is full and the pump has stopped pumping. keep in mind due to the design of this pump and probably any other like it that it cannot reach the very bottom of container, so there will be about maybe 2 inches deep fuel/liquid left from the bottom of container that you might have to funnel into tank or another container manually. but that's way better than having to hold and pour one or more five gallon jug/s. sometimes i'm just too tired or feeling too weak to want to do that. so i used mine at least once a week for over a year and a half and it was still good until i accidentally dropped/flung it onto concrete floor. after that it started acting funny like thinking the tank was full when i just turned it on causing my to have to turn it off then back on multiple times until it finally would keep pumping on it own. and then i guess the pump itself bound up to where even after replacing batteries the pump tries to start then stops. so i'm buying another one. if they haven't changed the manufacturing process then i guess i'll whip out my plumber's putty again and try harder not to drop it! i guess i could try a different brand that may or may not leak, but i know what i'm getting with this brand and am happy enough with it to not want to gamble with a different one.

Mess free fill-ups. I didn’t expect much when I bought this pump. I figured it would be on the slow side, but a bad back prevents me from lifting a 5 gallon can these days. First time I tried it, I knew I had a great thing. Can’t say I’ve timed it, but it filled up the tank on the zero turn a lot faster than the spout the can came with. My only wish is that they would build a threaded cap onto the stem that can slide up and down and fits the standard gas can cap. That way this could be left in place on a can instead of having to hold it up and wait a bit for the gas to drain/drip off then put the regular cap back on the can.

Bought this for my dad to fill his tractor from 5 gallon diesel tanks. Posting for him because he's 80 and doesn't internet. Overall, he's happy, but the corrugated fill hose is a major drawback. It's doesn't look too easy to replace, but due to it's tendency to hold fluid, it's messier than it should be in his opinion. But he loves the flow rate and the nozzle. Overall, he's very satisfied.

Just received this in the nick of time! As we are renting a lake house and found ourselves with a boat low on fuel we were able to quickly and easily "gas up" the boat with no mess and no fuss. The pump portion easily reaches the bottom of all of our 5 gallon gas tanks. It even looks long enough to reach the bottom of military style cans, but haven't confirmed as we used ones similar to the ones in the image. When the pump is no longer pumping gas you can 1.) see no more gas flowing in the clear tube and 2.) the pump makes a bit more noise. TIP: Tilt the can on a corner and the pump with get nearly all of the remaining gas out.

The inlet has what looks like a clip but can be used to hold the inlet in place in the groves for the gas cap. It looks like the clip will help hold it in place for mowers, snow blowers, etc. as well. I'll be using it for my snow blower this winter!

With the auto-shut off I avoided spilling as well (although, don't risk a big spill and don't walk away as the pump is pretty darn fast)!

I'll update this review if I have quality issues in the future, but for now this is a no brainer to get!

Nice Compact Fuel Pump! My needs were to drain fuel tanks during the off-season for my motorcycles, mowers, whackers, etc. This is a very quiet pump, that can pump up to 50 Gals. With one set of four AA batteries. My only concern is that the battery compartment is not sealed with an O-Ring type seal. Spilled fuel could enter the battery compartment, that could possibly spark a fire!

This is a great little Gizmo. The 'handle' part is the correct size for an automobiles gas tank opening. The pump immediately fills the hose and you are moving fuel. I did 2- five gallon cans in less than 10 minutes. You just tilt the can at the end to make sure the bottom is submerged to avoid dry pumping the unit. For the price, it is worth every penny. No more funnels, no more gas on the ground or dripping down the side of your car to ruin your paint job. Takes two "C" cell batteries.

Today I had three 5.3 gallon Jerry cans that I had filled up prior to Dorian. I figured if I don't use it soon to gas is going to go bad so I transferred the fuel into the truck. The pump did its job and reportedly does about 1.5 gallons per minute. It did not fully empty the gas cans, leaving about three quarters of a gallon in each. So after the pump could no longer function in the can I simply transferred the remaining fuel from the other cans into one can and pumped the remaining fuel into the truck. What remained in the last can I poured into a two and a half gallon can with a little bit of seafoam to use in my lawn mower.

Overall the pump worked as promised, it just had an issue with not being long enough to reach the bottom of the gas cans. It did have a tiny drip about once a second where the hose attached to the pump itself. Also it has a gas pump style handle on it that I was kind of expecting would have a shut off switch but instead it's just a piece of plastic that wraps around the hose make it look like a gas pump.
