Customer questions & answers
Answer: It doesn't get that hot here, but inside temp on a vehicle can reach 110. The cling has held up very well.
Question: Does it damage tinted windows?
Answer: No, It doesnt damage tinted windows.
Question: Can this work on the back window?
Answer: Yes. I gave 2 of them to my daughter. She has 1 on the side window and 1 in the back window.
These are the best window shades I've had to dim the sun's rays from my 16-month old. I've had the rectangular vinyl shade that bubbles; the pull down that hangs from the top of the window with the suction cup to hold it down in place at the bottom only for the suction cup to lose its effectiveness over time; and the rectangular shade that has 2 suction cups to hold it onto the window only for it to often fall on the floor. This shade clings to the window so easily and you can use more than one to overlap for extra coverage. They do not obstruct my view.
2. Shade Sox Universal Car Side Window Baby Sun Shade
Protect your loved ones in their car seats and booster seats by applying these sunshades to the rear side doors of the car. This provides UV protection, cuts sun glare, reduces heat, and prevents your children from getting burned or overheated.
The mesh is breathable, and because it’s on the exterior of the door frame, you can still roll down the windows and enjoy a nice breeze from outside while staying protected from the sun.
Customer questions & answers
Question: How big will it stretch?
Answer: I have a midsized sedan, an Accord and it stretches over it nicely, would probably have more give for a larger sedan as well.
Answer: The damage comes not necessarily from opening and closing doors, but from the edge of the water seal layer at the base of the window. For my doors, in order to get them to stay down, I needed to stretch them past the window seal portion, so that did a tiny bit of damage over lots of use. Other than that, open and close your doors to your heart's content. I have left them on for months at a time, even with highway usage, and they are holding up great.
Answer: Did not seem to affect them on my car, the fit is loose enough to not tighten the seals. Also the material is thin so that it doesnot interfere. Last week I drove 1100 mikes without noticing any (wind)noise increase inside the car.
We have been looking for a solution to giving the kids who sit in the back more shade. We tried a whole bunch of things, from suction cup shades to DIY type solutions. Never had anything that really worked and was reliable. Thankfully, we found these stretchable sun shades. In short, they are working wonderfully! We have a Nissan Rogue and the shades are a little on the large side with a little give, but they still fit well with no problems. The effect is a dark shade that has a big effect on the sunlight that comes into the car. This makes it less hot in the interior as well as less glare. This is all we were looking for.
We have had it for a few months now and it has held up as well as it did on the first day. They come on and off easily. Trips are much more comfortable for the kids in the back now which makes mom and dad happy campers. It doesn't prevent looking out the window at all. Here is a little side benefit: Mom has to sometimes breastfeed the baby and sitting in the back gives a lot of privacy that without the shades would be easy to see in the car. This was a nice bonus. Probably one of the best purchases we've made for the car and for not much money. Extremely happy and highly recommended!
